I mailed a letter to Virginia Tech, but the online track indicated that the letter goes to Roanoke. The address I wrote is Blacksburg

Most mail that is mailed to the New RIver Valley, ( Blacksburg area) where VirginiaTech is, goes through Roanoke because it is a major hub for mail in the area. UPS deliveries that go to the Blacksburg area also go through Roanoke because that is where the major UPS hub is. Roanoke is located about 30-35 minutes from Blacksburg.

Blacksburg is just a small college town - if that... Roanoke is the main town in that area - it's got a mall and an airport. I am sure the postal worker will deliver your letter to VT. Don't worry. :)
