I met a guy this June while I was interning in another city and we decided to stay in contact when I returned. Before returning, I initially only spent about a week with him. Our relationship grew when we talked on the phone in the following months and I eventually visited him again for a week and visited his family. He has told me he loves me and wants to be with me and was interested in me possibly moving to his area one day. But recently, the following things have happened:

-he didn't call me for a month or return my calls
-when he finally called he said he missed me, loves me, wants to be with me, and acted like nothing happened
-when I confronted him about it he got defensive and said he called me but I didn't answer
-he said we can't have a relationship because we live far away, but we would talk about it if we moved closer to each other

I know we haven't been together in person a lot, but I don't wanna be played either. I really like him though...what should I do?

I have never had good experiences with long-term relationships. It may work for some but it never did for me.

When he felt this close 2 u...and after that a one month break...thats so very weird....may b he was playing with another girl..while making u a side dish. In a relationship like that one months break is very unusual. Well it depends what u wanna do. But, i dont think it's a good idea to move in his area. Best thing 2 do is to find out why didnt he actually called u during that month, and if not satisfactory...break up with him. Good Luck :)

focus on people closer...then he won't matter as much, obviously. closer is cheaper too. plus, when you visit someone far away, there is pressure for both of you to be "on" that weekend. how exhausting is that? I think the fun part of relationships is the down time where nothing is going on but you learn a lot about eachother while doing mundane daily stuff. good luck.

A guy genuinely interested with you doesn't play mind games. Communication is very important in a relationship and if he becomes very defensive, then you can guarantee a relationship is not going to last. You only have yourself to satisfy so take it slow and until you are pretty sure of yourself he is for real.

Be cool. Don't rush it. I know your feelings are on the line; it sounds like hes not worrying much . Yes he may like you as well but hes not sweating it... so play it cool...if it happens...it happens...but if it doesn't...don't pounce him...give him the cold shoulder for a week or two, no matter how much he means to you...and see if he thinks about you and calls you... and when he does call don't act like really desperate just act more like, you missed him but it was no biggy...remember let him look for you...then he might be a keeper

Its called "HEAD GAMES" . He is working you. He may be doing that to someone else as well while he has been talking to you. STAY AWAY from this one.

It does not sound good to me. Forget him and find someone you can spend more time with and who is closer in miles to you.

I think you're being played. Back away. See if he comes running back, or not.
