if she's being violent, sure it's okay to use REASONABLE FORCE. if you are a decent person, you'll probably feel like crap afterwards for doing it. regardless of the circumstances, it just never feels like the completely right thing to do.

I am so sick of seeing women PICK fights with men because most won't do anything. I think if a woman puts herself in a man's place, she should be treated like one-no I don't mean if she is sassy. I mean if a women gets beligerant with a man and calls him out she should stand up and realize the challenge. It is sickening that men are put down as often as they are because they are gentlemen. At the same time, there are those @$$es out there that do beat on women. So the cylces never end.

I was always brought up that you should never hit a woman (let alone your wife) unless you need to do so to protect yourself or another person from serious bodily harm. However, If any wife has been hit for anyother reason then I feel that they should pack up and get out because sooner or later it will lead to something worse. If they feel that they need help then they should contact a friend or the local authorities for help.

I totally agree that a man should never hit a woman, but in a life or death situation , you have to do whatever you have to do survive. In several domestics I have had, my wife was the aggressor, and I just either pushed her away or just blocked her swings or punches, then left and came back later (I have never laid a hand on her, even though I wanted to knock her teeth out at times, but I was raised by a great father), anyway, I later divorced and got sole and full custody of my two daughters, and its been great without her. But to me that is my answer.

Not too many circumstances would prevail upon a man to strike a women, but it could happen that the woman attacked the man and then he would have to defend himself. Look at the men Aileen Wuornos killed and I am sure there are plenty like her out there.

If she's attacking him, of course. People seem to forget that women are vicious, and we are vulnerable because we have very sensitive organs exposed to the outside world. Not to mention, people see that crap on TV and think it's OK for women to hit men. I don't give a damn, I will defend myself against any woman. Good night!
HA! What is that nonsense about a guy who's being abused needing to "call someone about it"? Certainly I would call the cops if I had to, but aren't the cops usually men? What's so special about women that they can't be hit anyway? If they want to just up and attack a man, they'd better be prepared for him to defend himself. I don't care if he's twice her size, she has no business attacking anyone except for self-defense. Good grief!

don't even think about it because women have the legal part on their favour so even a scratch on a women can make that person land in prison or some other punishment and the physical strenght of that women won't be of any great use.But if its for self defence u have a little chance, law supports that.

If someone is physically handicaped and being beaten this is against the law. Violence never settles anything. If you are asking because you think this is ok behavior you have a problem get help or go to jail.

Anyone, man, woman or child has a right to defend themselves if they are unable to remove themselves from harms way. If you can't get away from the person who is attacking you then I would say that you can defend yourself and that would include hitting them in order to stop them from continuing to hit you. Otherwise, including if she is bigger than you or said something really hateful, striking someone is unacceptable.

If it's a matter of life or death. If she treatens you or someone you love. If someones a bad person and a health risk. Violance should only be used in self-defence, not matter male or female. If a woman is hitting or abusing a man, hitting her back is not the answer. It's illegal for anyone to use violance, unless it's necessary in self-defence, so she should be reported to the police.

Physical violence directed either way (to a man or to a woman) is never ok. It solves nothing and sets you up for assault no matter the circumstances.
