What is happening is you are getting a muscle cramp. Simply stretch the muscle by leaning to one side (opposite side than pain). Also make sure you are hydrating properly and getting pottasium which prevents muscle cramps. Eat a bananna before running!

Easiest way to handle it is to slow down a bit (but don't stop) and press your fist against the sore spot. hold it there for a few seconds, then remove it. If the stitch persists, do it again. That usually clears it up.

slow down and control your breathing. It should go away. Or just walk until it goes away.
