It all depends on what you are wanting to do. If you just want something that doesn't cost a lot of money, and helps take up time, then you can play slots. Just remember that, statistically, slots are the big loser.
Statistically, you will have better luck with table games. Craps, which can be very intimidating at first, can pay quite well. You should find a game that you are interested in learning and spend some time checking it out first. If you have no interest in doing the work required to learn the games, then stick to slots. You might just get lucks.
Another note about slots. You will find that the slots seem to pay out better on Fridays; get a little tighter on Saturdays; and hardly pay at all on Sundays. This is because the casinos tighten the machines up over the days. Many casinos will have people come out on "free 3 day vacations" The allow the machines to pay out more on Friday and adjust them to pay out less over the rest of the weekend. People who win big on Friday start to lose on Saturday, but try and convince themselves that they are due to win again. This is all regulated by gaming authorities (if we are talking about the US.) Best of luck, I hope this helps.

I agree with everyone that tells you to try table games as apposed to the slots....IF...you learn a little basic strategy you will be giving away about 3 1/2 % at blackjack .Get yourself a $2.00
table to start and you can usually stretch $20.00 out for several free drinks while getting familiar with the game.Hell...ya might even win.P.S. The most concise advice I give people about "basic strategy" is don't "hit" any hand that could possibly bust if the dealer has a 2 thru 6 showing.I admit that this is over simplified, but it's a start.Good Luck

It is definitely the Table Games. You have a little control on how you play and you can socialize with the other players. With a slot machine all you do is stare at a machine. How boring.

Really just depends on what you like. Eventually you'll lose at both but as a rule you can make your money last longer at the tables. I myself prefer the slot machines. Dollar slots are my favorite. You can lose fast but you can also win fast. And always use your slotcard when playing. Points add up pretty quick and you may as well get something for your money.

Table games > blackjack is usually the best. If you are on a roll, anything is worth a try.

The slot machines are for people who don't know how to play cards or people who have lost their money playing cards and need to just keep gambling because the people they came with are still playing.
