I'm 25 with blonde hair just past my shoulders, but it's horrible. I don't know what to do with it and I don't have much time or money. My current routine is to wash and condition most nights and either just brush it or put it in a pony tail once it's dry. HELP!!!

I don't even own a blow dryer and never could get into a routine to use one anyway, but I can quit using conditioner. Any other suggestions? What about different ways to fix it? BTW, my hair is straight.

wash and rince in cold water. really it closes the pores so you dont get the oils that make it flat. only use conditioner on the ends or that makes it blah. towel dry as much as you can. then put some root lift just on the roots at the part of your hair then with your head up side down either slightly blow dry in warm and cool or end with cool to keep the pores closed or instead of the hair dryer if you have time just keep running your fingers through it as your sitting lifting up as you do this. my daughtar has long waist legth silky blonde hair and when she dont want to take the time ( 20 min.) to do this she ends up with it in a pony tail too. if you use the cold water to wash and rince and do the finger thing you can do it the night before and still have fluff. or in the morning take a large curling iron and put it to the roots give it a one in a half twist back and pulling lightly forward and instant poof... just remember the more conditionor and the more you pull down is what your gonna get...

1. After you wash it at night either blow dry or let air dry depending on your preference.
2. Add pomade or mousse plus a little hairspray to your hair.
3. Gather your hair as if you're going to put in a pony tail, but don't use a scrunchie then twist it up tight until you can't twist it any longer.
4. Take a claw clip and then clip it to you head.

In the morning you will have natural looking waves and from there you can either part to one side, wear half up half down, or...

John Frieda has a great volumizing mousse. I have flat hair and I put it in just at the roots when it's damp and then dry it with one of those round brush things. Good Luck.

If you want volume, I have the solution for you. All you have to do is blowdry your hair upside down, and then just straiten the top layer. I have the same problem. I hate it, but I read a book with good suggestions.

If you regularly blow dry your hair, try blow drying it upside down. also, a quick trim can do WONDERS if you don't have the money for a full on new haircut.

try using suave mousse and blow drying it , while styling
it with your fingers as you dry. Suave is a rather inexpensive
brand but it works.
