No, the mother has to notify the child support collection agency of the arrearage for them to take action.

Only when the amount is $5000 will a felony warrant be issued. It's unfortunate that the awards are so high, but try to keep up. Even paying something is better than paying nothing at all.

Best of luck to you!

Yes and with the Federal Child Support offender act you can be arrested in any Sate and transported to the State where the warrant is out of. The time for any prisoner transport can take up to twenty days on the road. So get this taken care of quickly.

Regardless of your child support, if you have a warrant you can be arrested. Why are you behind on your child support anyways? Your children that you made need your financial support and your making them do without by not paying on time. You should be arrested for that.

well, the honor system doesnt work thats for sure. and the states are tired of paying for deadbeats children.

so yes, you can. in my state my ex gets a warrent on him after two weeks (its in my court order). its called a two week stipulation.

its just best to pay something rather then the jail time. he learned the hard way.. and sometimes needs a reminder visit.

Probably not, not for two months, but you "need" to pay if you have been ordered to pay, so pay up.
