equality and violence against women...?

if a woman demands equality, and she hits you, is it not an insult to hit her back?

if one of my buddies smacks me, i can smack him back without worry. so if a woman who is demanding to be treated as an equal smacks me, isn't it ok to smack her back? by not doing so, aren't i insulting her intelligence and her physical capability, not to mention the hypocrisy that i would cause by not treating her equally?

and if a woman really hits you out of anger, with full force, and you are sure she wants to be treated equal, cant i reciprocate with a full force blow, as she dealt to me?

when does it become a hipocrisy?

this is a hypothetical question. im not smacking around anyone, but am curious on if i would be justified if i had to.

so what you are saying is that women want equality when it comes to pay, influence, parenting, jobs, and all of that, but if a woman (out of anger) were to strike a blow, it is unfair to retaliate?

the logic isnt there. if women want to be treated as equals among men, how are men supposed to know what rules are being cherry picked by the women who are doing it?

this goes with everything. i have worked with men who like to talk about all of the girls they have gotten and all of the nasty things that were done with them. i wasnt offended, but i bet a woman would have been. is it fair to say that, if a woman took offense, she is not demanding equality, but partial preference?

if a woman can demand to be on a sports team because she is good enough, can a man not do the same to a woman's sports team?

Women are seldom equal to men (assuming both are not old and are healthy) in physical strength.

So, you (he) would be wise to restrain her until the police arrived. Have her arrested and press charges.

You would be unwise to hit anyone full force unless it is absolutely necessary to defend yourself. One could be charged with felony assault you did more than defend yourself.

To illustrate: when I was a kid, a girl at school got angry and started wailing on me like crazy. Without thinking, as a knee jerk reaction, I hit her ONE time in the face and just about knocked her out and gave her a serious black eye. I felt bad because I was just trying to stop her from hitting me and didn't intend to hurt her.

Now that I am older and wiser, I would restrain her and have her charged with assault.

are u sure ur full force and her full force are the same? i wouldn't hit back just assuming she can take a shot from me at full unless its a really strong woman who knows exactly how to throw a punch, meaning she's asking and willing to start a real fight. that means no response to slaps. a roundhouse and a shot to the gut kinda fight yes. otherwise never. i know some women who can knock me off my feet with a punch, i also know some women who couldn't hit me on the nose and cause a nosebleed, much less any real damage.

a man can hurt a woman so much more easily than a woman can hurt a man.....there is no physical equality between the sexes, men are bigger and stronger physically-that's just the way it is.....
young children sometimes throw tantrums and hit their parents, would you hit a toddler with all your force just because that's what the toddler did?....equality and "eye for an eye" are not the same thing

Everyone wants to be treated equally in terms of resepct, payscale, opportunities and so forth. I do not think that women strive to be treated equally so that another individual can hit them or whatever argument you are attempting to make. You have taken a serious issue and tried to make a joke of it.

hummmmm...so ur saying should or should not hit the women back..well true some women want equality but doing so(as hittng would be different),,,though, hard becuz she does want the equality so u would have to hit back i guess?...but is ur full force equal to her full force..

remember your equals under the law ! if you hit her she calls the police...but you can also press charges...think about that!
she knows your stronger and it IS hypocrisy cause if she gets you angry you might REALLY hurt her and the evidence will be against you...
