what you need is a good long hardcore
depression. That will certainly cure your
fear of death.

Death is part of life and it may not be something you want to hear but the faster you except it the better you will be.You can live now and not worry about something that may not come for some time. I myself will live through my sons and through thiers. If you live a good live you will be remembered by all who love you. Read this poem

Death , Life

It stalks the night
It stalks the day
It seeks out life
And whisks it away
It's known as death
And other things too
But it's all the same
What matters is you.
How do you see it?
What does it mean?
It's best if you know
For death is unseen.
It can take you at day
It can take you at night
Knowing death well
Can lend you some light
The passage to death
Is always unclear
And it's best to know
That you're very near.
For death is at hand
It is for us all
Know it's face well
So you don't stumble and fall
Now think hard on death
And know that it's near
And the meaning of life
Will be all to clear
And that is to live
For your hearts desire
Not to stumble or fall
But to burn with a fire.
A fire for life
To live for each day
To reach for your dreams
No matter what people say
Life is a question
And death holds a clue
Reach not for the answer
For your life's not due
Live for the moment
And die for it too
For it's the moment that counts
It, and you
Now I'm all done
I've said what I'll say
Just remember one thing
Live for the day!

I had the same issue! IF it affects your everyday life then you probably have an anxiety disorder that can be helped with anxiety medication and counseling.... I had every fear in the book... fear of dying, fear of knives, fear of sleeping because i thought i would stop breathing, fear of driving i was a total mess! It's a chemical imbalance in the brain and with meds. you will probably feel a lot better. The reason why you are probably feeling this way is because people with anxiety like to have control of themselves and everything around them and death isn't something you really control, and it's scary! You have to feel the fear and do it anyway! Notice the thoughts and change the thought into something positive... You will start to get scared and just realize your fine! Nothing is gonna happen to you! If GOD wanted you dead you would be dead... he doesn't want you to live this way. Take control of your thoughts and know that you can't change the past but you can change your present. Also try doing breathing exercises when you get anxious... Go somewhere quiet close your eyes, relax your body and breath in through your nose for three seconds and then out through your mouth for three seconds and distract yourself by thinking of positive things... IT really helped me! Just go and see a psychiatrist and he can really help you with conquering your fear..

what you have sounds like a case of Necrophobia. you are scared to die not because you are facing death but because the fact that you can die causes you to have fear. This is actually a condition that may require professional help. There may be something in you past that you don't even realize that has caused you to become afraid of death. many people jump to the conclusion that only having someone die or almost die is the only way to become afraid of dieing, but it isn't. many other life altering situations can bring this on as a subconsious condition. Fear of anything in general is a defensive mechanism that we have to keep us safe. when the fear is the fear of dieing, it only keeps us back. It's highly unlikely that you will just wake up one day and stop having this phobia, that would actually be unusual. it can be overcome, though I would recomend seeking aid through family, or if all else fails, professional help. Most phobias are a type of anxiety. you can't just shrug them off, but you can work your way through them.

Like woodie allan said" I'm not afraid of dieing, I just don't want to be their when it happens."

If you would like to chat more on this feel free to drop me a line or an IM...I believe my profile is set to allow that...I think.

First of all, I am a Christian. But I also have always had a fear of death. When I was a child, I would cry myself to sleep at night thinking about it. As an adult, it is a little easier to think about, but I also take anti-depressants now. Maybe you should talk to your parents if your under age about getting a Dr.'s opinion. If your a young adult, take yourself to the Dr., there are things that can help you. Good Luck.

I'm not afraid of death.

I am now 65 years old. I want to live a long time beyond that age, simply because I am not quite ready to leave this life. But I don't worry about it and I will accept my fate if death comes to me sooner.

I don't want to suffer. That would be the one part of dying I might fear if my death were to be painful. But I am not worried about that nor do I think about it very much.

I remember one time back when I used to party a lot harder than I do these days I had such a bad hangover that I swung back and forth between "I'm afraid I'm gonna die," and "I'm afraid I just might live." I can laugh about things like this, and I can joke about death and it doesn't worry me.

I look at death as possibly being my next truly great adventure. Maybe it will be, and maybe it won't be. Anyway--I'd like to face it about 30 years from now.

You will die. So will I. That's inevitable and it is as much a part of life as being born, being awake, sleeping and all the other stuff we do. Eating, making love, and the other things.

You have a long time to live so you might as well take life as it comes, enjoy it, and quit worrying about something that will happen some day. Take care of yourself, live a safe life. Learn to love yourself and then learn to truly love other people. Sex is wonderful when it does come, so enjoy it in its proper place and in the proper way.

If you are at all inclined to be religious, pursue that earnestly and learn about God's love for all of us. And learn to trust--yourself, others and God.

When I was 11 years old I had a friend who died at the age of 9 of a congenital heart problem. I remember he was never healthy but he was always happy, and you should learn from people like him.

God bless you and do learn to live your life.

I am not afraid, because death is a natrual process and part of life. I know it is coming one day, maybe tomorrow or maybe in 50 years. I don't think about it. I only hope I have the courage to face death like I face life - with no regrets and screaming "bring it on!"

do you believe in God? if you did, you would not be afraid. i'm not afraid of death. but i just hope i don't die in a painful way. death comes for you whether you like it or not. everyone dies. you don't know how or when, but sh*t happens. i know, it sucks but you can't live in fear forever. i used to be afraid of death too until i thought about it hard one day and told myself, "Hey, sh*t happens. so nothing i could do about it except just live with it.

just live life to the fullest with no regrets because this only happens once.
