Thongs are definitely not made for little girls. Little girls still do not know how to care for their body hygienically. I also do agree that the times have changed but we as mother's have to definitely take control of what we feel is necessary for our little girls. Just because every one else is doing it that does not mean you should.
The manufacturer all they care about is making money!!!

Unfortunately it is not confined to girls. I was on ebay looking for clothes for my sons and ran across boy thong underwear. They were a size 6 or something small like that.
Companies will manufacture anything that sells. Why not look at the parents buying this crap? Why would you want a child in a thong? I'm an adult and I won't wear them. This is a sick and disgusting thing.

For little girls? Yeah, that is disturbing. I personally LOVE them, but I was a tomboy when I was younger (though I loved wearing dresses). Can you imagine a little girl in a dress and a thong climbing on the jungle gym? The boys on the playground would get quite a show! Definitely a cause for concern...

I know. I have a little girl myself. she wouldn't be caught dead waring a thong. Arg... Society pisses me off. Just giving child molesters more motivation/incentive. The world is a very sick place. children should not wares thongs by any means.

This is sick. I really have no idea why someone would produce thongs for little girls. Yuck.
Nevermind the sexual issue...thongs aren't good for your body.
Because the string is rubbing against you, bacteria can travel from your anus to your vagina. Basically, you get "butt" germs in your vagina.
This is hard enough for an adult to deal with, but imagine having to bring your 8 year old to the gynocolgist.

I also don't see what the big deal is...I know a lot of you are old fashioned, but thongs are honestly just another form of underwear. And you know what?? A thong is a whole lot less suggestive than very-visible panty lines, which are easily seen by curious boys. Besides, if you did a good job raising your child, her pants will stay on, and therefore no one will see them anyways. (They are also really really comfortable believe it or not, so don't judge until you try them.)
Just relax, times change. Women don't wear hoop skirts anymore right? Just like a lot of us don't wear granny panties anymore...styles and what is socially acceptable CHANGE over time, believe it or not. Sorry if this made me sound like a complete *itch. I just wanted to give you another opinion.

I don`t understand that one either. Little girls do not have proper hygiene as it is without putting thong underwear on them. Sounds like a way to get a UTI.

I don't know fi I'd buy my daughter a thong. they are jsut underware. I don't think the issue is that seriously.
I think there are much bigger things to worry about.
besides if you buy her one, she'll probally hate wearing it.
and as long as no one sees it, there's nothing wrong. saying "no" only makes it seem 'cooler' and they want it more.
