Honestly, don't dress up. First when you get there you have to wait in line to get on a bus to take you to the graduation field. Then you have to sit in bleachers (not so good for dresses), and then try and find you man in a sea of hundreds of airmen, then back in line to get on a bus back to the welcome center. Wear jeans or nice slacks and a nice shirt/blouse. Wearing a dress could be very uncomfortable. At my husband's graduation 3years ago, almost everyone was in jeans and T-shirts. Remember after graduation he can leave the base. you can always use this time to go back to your room and change. Wear something really special and go out to dinner. That's what I did :0)

You are going to a ceremony that is very serious and you should wear something that is very nice. We as a society have gotten too far away from recognizing that jeans (and casual wear) is inappropriate for all situations. We need to develop some self respect and show that we have still have manners.
Break the trend and show that you have style and class. Wear your dress and shoes. As long as you're not in a formal gown or cocktail dress you'll be fine.

I think it's important to be dressed "up" comfortable but casual. I live and work near Lackland and see alot of the families with there graduates, many are proud and you get lots of attention. I just would recommend something you are comfy in. alot of people get really dressed up and some are not so dressed up.

My son's officer graduation had people dressed in all ways.
Not many jeans in fact I did not see any jeans but I did see khakis & dress pants. I wore a black Ann Taylor dress & pearls - about 1/3 of women in were in church type clothes. Wear what will make you comfortable & you want in your photos. Enjoy - I loved it!

Do you dress up for someone graduating highschool or college. Then do so, I'm sure who ever is graduating won't care to much they will be just happy as hell to see you. They will be in there dress blues so if your gonna take pictures with them, then Id suggest wearing something formal, not like yur going to a wedding or funeral. Just something you might wear to church.
