Why is it that some people who wear glasses all the time have like bugly/bulky eyes or popped out eyes, kinda like fish eyes?

I have them, my parents and my brother says I have fish eyes(looks ugly without glasses) and my dad has them too.

One reason that the eye may appear to bulge is because you are probably myopic (nearsighted) The shape of the eye is different from that of a normal eye with 20/20 vision. The shape of the eye of people who are myopic is oval shaped, (long at the sides, like a football and not perfectly round like a person with good vision) You need corrective lenses because when the light enters your pupil and attempts to reach the retina it does not land directly onto the retina, instead it falls behind it, causing blurred vision. Your doctor will give you eye tests to determine how thick and what shape your glasses need to be to bend the light in order for it to hit the target (your retina) producing a clear image to your brain once its sent through the optic nerve- Blah blah, back to the point, your eyes are literally shaped differently and also your cornea will tend to be thicker making your eye subtly "bulgier"

I have them, but I don't notice that too much, I use to when I didn't get glasses; but my family says I look good with my glasses on, I won't get contacts because I think seeing the lenses helps me not get tired so easily.
