I'm about to have a second marriage also, and am looking into an India design for my dress. Red is their main color for the wedding, and the bead work is dazzling! Also, some companies can make them cheaper than a regular traditional dress.
I didn't want the traditional white, as -haha - what a joke, and am still undecided on a champagne color or off-white instead. I also love red and have been told that it's 'my color'.
Most of the girls I've showed the red one to think it's the most gorgeous color they've ever seen. A couple thought that even though the red is fine, it's not wedding material. I could care less, as this day I want what I like, not what they want me to be in.
Congrats and best of luck!!

red is the traditional wedding color in more parts of the world then any other color including white! It has also been used for redding gowns LONG before they started wearing white! I say, go for it!

My mother-in-law wore red for her first marriage it was my father-in-laws third marriage they have been together for almost 20 years (longer than both the other marriages he had together) I think its a great idea! Many cultures use red as the wedding dress colour so why not, Congratulations!

It's a very modern idea, and it's your wedding. I say if the fiance likes it, then go for it. I love dark red for a wedding, but I would probably go with traditional white and have the bouquet and bridesmaid in a dark red.

Are you going to be a Valentine bride? I see nothing wrong with the color you choose. I know you may have comments about it, but if it is what you like, do it. You could pick a very pretty dark red.

my sister in law's favorite color is purple, she wore a lavender gown. It was beautiful. Many worry to much on traditions and divorce soon after.. The most important thing is how you feel about your love and what color makes you feel good. go for it.

Do and wear whatever you want. Second weddings are not that big of a deal to anyone except the people getting married. Even if it was your first wedding, it would be fine, but you'd probably get more comments.

Personaly, i might want to flow with red cuz it is color isn't to ideal or stay at homestead color. it has a complicated color with a glance of comforableness interior. Like pink is a to severe color for a gown cuz that's to showy for an human being like u ( i meant that in a great way) pink is thanks to casual for the activities u r going to placed on it to that's thanks to casual for someone like u ( also i meant that in a great way) this changed into all my opinion. i desire this hepled!!

Red is a chinese custom. Here in America it is new tradition for the bride to wear color. I feel that the bride should wear whatever she would like to wear. Red would certainly be lovely for your wedding. ;O)
