Would like to have my reception very simple nothing too fancy! Would love suggestions!

dont think of renting a hall but just finding a nice place outside if you dont want anything fancy.....its cheaper and pretty without doing any work...and just get hors-dourve finger foods for the reception....it saves sooo much.....i'm having tons of fingerfoods carried around stylishly on trays during the reception, so people can mingle easier and dont get that heavy food feeling....and you will save over 40% off what it will cost you to pay per head from some caterers. OMG!! I just moved away from Staunton about 1 1/2 yrs ago. So you just know it blew my mind seeing this question.
Anywayz...the Elks Lodge out past Beverley Manor Elementary was very reasonable. You may also try the Moose Logde out there too. Maybe try the Gymnasium in Gypsy Hill Park or the National Guard Armory. You may also try contacting the Salvation Army to find out if they rent out the gym for such occasions. If you know anyone who lives at Plaza Apts or the other apts behind there...you may be able to use the social hall there.
