well, ask him out. if he doent share your feelings, than just ask him if he could 4get this evr happened. but maybe he'll say yes, & share ur feelings in the same intensity. you'll never kno if u dont try

i think the best approach is to flirt with him and see if he reciprocates, like you can try touching his arm when you say something or using any excuse to put your hand on his back, etc.
often people mirror each other when there's a mutual attraction, so he might start using a word that you use, or if you're sitting in front of him, he'll mimic your body language... try to use your intuition. if you feel there's something beyond strictly platonic friendship, take it further.
personally, i was recently in the same situation with my guy friend and i asked him directly if he felt any chemistry. you might want to feel out the situation first, and then just ask him (or even email him, saying something non-threatening like, "sometimes i wonder if we have something more than just a friendship, but i would never want to compromise our friendship if... " and take it from there.

You will have to tell him. I had the same thing happen to me. I didnt tell him, we remained friends until he got married, and moved away. I always wonder what would have been if I had told him. Maybe he would have told me no, maybe he would have been a horrible boyfriend, or husband. Maybe he felt the same way. Either way, we are no longer friends, and I always wonder what might have been.

start getting a little touchy feely (play wrestle, tickle, back rub) to see how he responds. you might love him but there won't be that type of electricity between you. if he gets physical back then you know he wants to take that road. one time while you play wrestle or tickle try and kiss him. if he freaks out just say you were joking. if he kisses you back then you are on your way.

u both should start going out if your both comfortable with it and if you guys break up do not let it ruin your friendship . cause your friendship should be the most important thing with him . Good Luck
