I colored my hair 3 days ago with a permanent black. I was looking for a temporary color but couldn't find one, so I took the risk with the permanent type. I wish I hadn't. I don't like it. How long should I wait before I can safely change my hair back to it's natural or another color? I was told at least 3 months, but is there anything I can do before then?

I'm Male and 21 by the way. The easiest way, I figure would be to just shave my head, but I don't know if it would grow back very well. I'm having an issue with hair loss. Which brings me why to why color it to begin with. It's not helping my cause.

I was told to let your hair rest a few days before doing any more bleaching or dying work on it. Call Sally Beauty supply or something in that nature. They usually have people there who are experienced in this field and can give you advice.

I'm a natural blonde, and have been dyeing my hair for ages. The last three years I've been in the dark brown and black shades. But last year I decided I wanted to go back to my natural colour.
The easiest, cheapest and safest way is to wait till it grows back, but it's also the slowest and most boring way.

Since you haven't dyed it over and over again with black, it should be easier for you, because black has a lot of red pigment, and if you bleach it all over, it will turn out orange. And each time you bleach it, it will just go brighter orange. I suggest you highlight it. Fill it in with lots of highlights. Wait a month, than do it again. It will give you a more natural look while you wait.
Also, the bleach actually tries to remove pigment from your hair, so you should try colouring it with a semi-perm or toner after in a cool shade. It will remove some of the brassines and the orange. Look for shades that say ash or cool.
It is NO easy and fast way to do this. I recommend seeing a beauty saloon, at least for the first time. That's what I did. They used safe products to bleach the whole head, and gave me a semi-perm in a cool beige tone. But it was still quite orange. The next times I did it at home, using Loreal's products. Every other month I'd highlight instead of bleach, and I always used a toner or a semi-perm after. The last times I used "Tints of nature", it's a permanent hairdye without ammonia. Was really good for my hair. Invest in a good hairmask and good shampoos and conditioner, you're hair will suffer, and it needs the treatment.

But again, hairdye sticks differently from person to person, your's may be easy to change.
Hope this helps. Oh, and you should at least wait a month, three weeks minimum. just remember to treat it.

Unfortunately the only way to get the black dye out is to have it taken out with dye remover and then have your hair colored a different color. When you remove the dye your hair will not be your natural color,it will probably look a little orange, that's why you will have to dye it again.

Wash your hair right away with dish soap this will strip the color and lighten it up... and you can color again in 30 days you don't have to wait 3 months

you could go to your local hairstylist and they could give you highlights to make it not look so blah or you can buy stuff and put some highlights in yourself.
