The one time I tried it it made my legs turn beet red and burn like crazy so I guess I am allergic to it. I would never try it again that's for sure!

It makes hair very fragile, so you can rub it off, but the roots stay there. Because my skin is very sensitive it burned my upper lip, so I ended up with a red hairy upper lip. There are directions on how long to leave it on in the package.
To remove hair in this area (or any other) I recommend waxing, it hurts a little, but it's not as uncomfortable as the cream burning (a friend of mine got blisters from using Nair)

I use sally hansen hair removal it's like nair. I use it on my lip cause I'm afraid waxing is going to hurt. it's not that good it lasts about 4 days it used to last 2 weeks but i think i got used to it so it takes sorter time to grow back. It doesn't get ride of the root and it takes about ten minutes. It shouldn't hurt unless you leave it on to long then it burns. I think if you can deal with the pain of waxing then you be better to wax cause it lasts longer.

Nair lotions, creams and mousse don't work like wax. They dissolve the hair so that you can simply wipe off the product and hair. In addition they also remove dead skin cells. Nair works in about 3 minutes and you can use it as often as once a week.

It dissolves the hair with really strong chemicals. If you get it anywhere sensitive (don't use it for pubic hair!) it burns, and if you are sensitive it can burn on normal skin too, but if you leave it on for the time it says on the pack (7 minutes?) then you should be fine.
It only lasts like a day longer than shaving as the root of the hair is still there.

i use nair for my eyebrows, i dont use any wax but nad's its the best. nair has both wax kits and dipilatory kits so i need to know what one your using...but waxing only stings for a couple of seconds, sorta like pulling band aids off. but yes its supposed to get the hair out at the root, if it isnt your either doing it wrong or the product is faulty, make sure you exfoliate first!

It doesn't hurt much if at all. I did it for hair to remove on parts before (don't use it on your genitals or around your eyes) You apply it, it stays on there for a bit and loosens the roots so it comes off easy with a lukewarm wash rag.
Doing your legs and such might not work too well, I don't know any women who recommend it for that. Arms and such seem to be popular for it.

It takes about 3-6 minutes and doesn't really "hurt" though it may irritate the skin.
