Just model it for yourself in front of the mirror and lounge around in it when no one is around. That will help you feel comfortable in it.

I remember the first time I wore lingerie, too. I was so nervous, I stayed in the bathroom for a half an hour, trying to get the nerve to walk out. Of course, as soon as he saw me, it was fine because he thought it was sexy. So, realize, no matter what you think you look like, he is going to think you look absolutely amazing. Also, I would suggest already being in the room, laying on the bed wearing it. That way, it takes out the stressfulness of having to work up the courage to walk in. A glass of wine might also help you gain a little courage.

Since you mention that you're insecure and that you probably won't fit into what you bought 2 years ago, I'm thinking your problem is that you feel you're too big?
If this is the case, you have it backwards! Lingerie is actually the *solution* to unsexy flab. It covers all those loose jiggles with sexy silk and frills. Much better to cover up just enough and leave the rest to the imagination/fantasy.
That's why they make lingerie in sizes up to super-jumbo-xl.

Just act like you would when you normally have sex with him.. wear clothes or pajamas or whatever like you normally would, but with the lingerie underneath. And then when you walk in the bedroom with him, take off the clothes/pajamas, stand there for a few seconds, and hop in bed! (That's what I would do, anyway... and I've never worn lingerie and I'm really shy)

first thing - wear it when you're alone & look at yourself in a mirror. appreciate the reflection, admire it. you gotta love yourself first to be confident. another thing to try, very dim lighting when he's around, wear the lingerie, pu on a robe. then slowly peel your robe just past your shoulders and see how you feel. if good, go on, if not, don't. but by then, he'd usually urge you on & tell you how hot you look anyways so that should help get rid of your shyness.

Work your way up to it. First, get comfortable wearing things a little bit out of your comfort zone. Get a little racier gradually. Before Christmas you'll be greeting him at the door in thigh highs and a bustier.

Why don't you try them on? If you're still uncomfortable wearing them, then wear something over them for your fiance and darken the room. That way, your fiance can't see much!

Maybe discuss it with him first. Or you could try wearing them in front of him in a darker room first until you get comfortable enough to wear them in brighter rooms.
