Thanx a lot to everyone who replied. I actually found a website that provided information of a person who rents out a place to stay at the great wall. This is at the Jianshingling and Simatai section of the wall. So i will not be sleeping in the open (but i do agree that it will still be very cold). I just wanted to know if it would be bearable if i was prepared or could i just freeze to near death :):):)

Yes,the Si Ma Tai section has a lovely hotel,by the same name and is very well appointed and reasonably priced,having stayed there,I would surely recommend it,however make sure the heating is up to your requirement since it tends to get icy these days.
