'Ativan' is Lorazepam and it's a sedative-hypnotic, anxiolytic and anticonvulsant. 'Xanax' is Alprazolam. They are slightly different though they are both benzodiazepines.

I take Lorazepam and was told to take 0.5mg twice a day. Basically morning and night. The morning/daytime dose is supposed to help cut down my anxiety that I feel throughout the day. The nighttime one is to help me get to sleep because I lay down and cannot sleep because of all my anxious thoughts that can keep me up for hours. I am also on Lexapro for depression which also helps with my anxiety. I suffer from panic attacks sometimes and my doctor told me it was ok if I took up to 3 or 4 Lorazepam pills (not all at once) but every hour or so, until I calmed down. She told me never to go over 2mg (4 pills) a day right now or else I may feel withdrawal symptoms the next day (the beginning of an addiction)

Nothing much will really happen to you if you take the pill during the day instead. If you have not built up a tolerance to it yet, you may feel a little sleepy and relaxed. I guess that's one of the ways it helps with the anxiety. You also may feel a tiny bit 'out of it'. The first time I took 3 pills in a very short period of time because of a panic attack, I felt a little drugged and slow. I was walking much slower and feeling a little bit disoriented but it wasn't a bad feeling. I just really wanted to get home and lay down. When i got into my apartment, I bumped into a few things because my balance was a little off. I had a hard time typing on my computer and I kept typing words backwards. I had to go to sleep.

It's a helpful drug but it's so addictive. I'm already wondering if I'm starting to have some sort of dependency on it and I've only been taking it for a little over a month. Be careful. If you want to take it during the day, talk to your doctor first.

*If your idea of getting 'high' is getting tired then, yes.

I take it also, and if you take it in the morning or in the middle of the day, you may walk around like a zombie. You also could take a chance on falling asleep while driving or doing something else that could harm you or someone else. I take it at bedtime. It really relieves my anxiety, and stress. You can take two, but it will really knock you out. After about two years taking it off and on, the Dr. did double my dose, but only because I had become tolerant.

Stress brought on me to lose an severe quantity of weight & be ill always. I am comfortable to mention that a yr later, I am competent to manipulate my strain, keep my weight, and customarily think best. I take a million mg two times an afternoon.

This is Xanax and will make you relaxed and sleepy. I would not take it during the day if you need to drive or be alert. Also, it is addictive, so be very careful and only take precribed dose as needed.

What would happen is that you would feel like crap. It would make you so-ooo sleepy, foggy-headed, and not quite all there.
Double dose? Depending on your tolerance, I imagine it would zap you like a bug and knock you on your ***.
Anxiety and stress????
It'll make you so funky, that you won't even think about anxiety and stress....
