2 weeks after high school graduation I began a new job. One month after working at the job I moved out and never went back. I was 18 and needed to be away from them. They were too old fashioned even though I loved them dearly, they were smothering me. I worked for 33 years at that job, got promoted several times and managed to retire at the age of 51. I never regretted it.

One week after I turned 18 I was out of their house. I had already graduated high school and had a full time job for several months by then. I supported myself and lived my life. Pretty simple.
