the guy above is incorrect. in a 5/10 game, the small blind is 2 or 3 dollars, and the big blind is 5 dollars. Anyhoo, limit games are usually designated with the small bet, then the big bet.
The betting structure is 5 dollar bet Preflop and on the flop, then 10 dollars on the turn and on the river.
The betting structure for 20/40 is 20 dollars Preflop and on the flop, then 40 dollars on the turn and on the river.
No limit games are usually designated by the buy in amount, or the blind amount. For example, a 100 min 200 max dollar No limit game means you can buy in for anywhere between 100 or 200..the blinds are usually 1 and 2, or 2 and 5. good luck

Yup when it says 5/10 it means blind of 2 and 5 dollars and the betting round pre-flop and on the flop is 5 dollars and on the turn and river you can bet 10 dollars. You should not jump into these games right away, star by playing 2/4 limit to get your feet wet then move up to some no limit games. 5/10 and higher limit games will have player that are more difficult to play so beware.

It could mean one of two things:
For a No-Limit game, it means they are the small blind/Big Blind
For a Limit game, they are the size of the limits.
For example, on a 20/40 limit table, Pre-Flop and Post-Flop bets must be $20. No more, no less. Post-Turn and Post-River bets must be $40. Again, no more, no less.

5/10 limit holdem means that the small blind is $2, the big blind is $5, each bet preflop and on the flop is in $5 incriments, and each bet on the turn and river is in $10 incriments
A 1/2 No limit holdem game does have a small blind of $1, and a big blind of $2. Since it is no limit, you can bet as much as you want whenever you want

I think you are referring to the table limits at each individual table. The 5/10 would mean that the minimum bet is $5.00 and max bet would be $10.00; or in Texas Hold 'Em it could mean the blinds are $5.00 for small blind and $10.00 for large blind?
