Your question seems a bit vague. Do you mean the moment right before sex? Why would you be asking him what he's doing? If it's right before sex, he's probably getting turned on. At least, one would hope so. Anyways, some guys aren't able to voice their feelings easily. Some of us are more expressive physically or with actions. So don't push him too hard to get a response out of him. Instead, have a talk with him later about those moments just before sex.

I've done that a few times. One kept asking "What are you doing?" I kept saying, "nothing... nothing at all." Finally she said, "Don't expect anything from me." I said, "I don't expect anything from anybody," and I'm dead serious... I was taking her clothes off the entire course of this insanely stupid conversation. She objected with her mouth, but not her body, and actions speak louder than words, so I ignored her.
I guess iIt means that if things have gone that far, and you're so naive that you have no idea what is about to happen, he's not going to be the one to tell you.
