My ex-boyfriend dumped me a year ago, yet last week he called me and asked me to go see a movie with him. I went with him, he picked me up & after the movie he just took me home.On the drive home, when I asked him why he wanted to see me, he said that he wants to see me 'every once in awhile'. Why does he wanna hang out and see me once in awhile, when we only dated for one month? By the way, we never had sex during our relationship cuz he knew that I wanna save myself for marriage. In fact, it never went past kissing. Do guys "hang out" and stay friends with all of thier exes or only some and should I feel special that he wants to see me even as a friend? What are his REAL intentions? He's in Asia now, but comes back in one month? Should I ask for coffee one time, but just as friends?
Is he playing with me or really wants to be friends?

Guys always want what the cant have. BUT if he seriously values your stance on sex and never tried you during the relationship then it is possible that he respects you and maybe has been having some regrets that he is having a hard time expressing or values your conversation and friendship. I wouldnt ask him for coffee, let him ask you. His true intentions will reveal themselves in time.

Exs are Exs for a reason move on and don't let him hang around to hurt you. Find a guy that wants to spend time with you all the time not just once in a while.

He is definitely not 'playing' with you. He most likely does want to be friends and possibly more.
