A sudden increase in the dog's water intake is often a sign of disease, especially diabetes. Get your dog to its vet as soon as you can.

Take your beloved friend to the vet ASAP. Could be kidney related...
Unfortunately I am speaking from my own personal experience. It might not relate at all to your situation. In any case get your friend to the vet as soon as you can.

If you are concerned about the health of your animal, then you need to bring him to a veterinarian. No one on this message board can diagnose your dog!

This is something that has to be determined by your Vet and by having blood work done. It definitely isn't normal.
