It's deep relaxation, and it can actually replace a few hours of sleep to meditate for about 30 minutes. As for the levitation / telekenesis, some believe it's true with a lot of practice - but nobody really knows for sure. Give it a try :)

You can get power through meditation, but to get the most out of it, you should study nature, animals and the universe, you will not be ready until you know God exist. Eating healthy is also important. Fresh fruits & vegetables will be 90% of your diet, organic eggs will do for the other 10. The only fluid you should have, is spring water. This will slow down your matabolism and calm you down. To meditate; Lay back on a recliner chair and think of what you can live without. Do this for an hour...Maybe you'll have out of body experiences like me.

Meditation can be many things to different people and there are multiple types of meditation. In a nutshell, you meditate to excercise and clear. Put a candle in front of you and sit in a relaxed position but not lying down. Try to focus on candle. As you exhale, breath out all of your toxins and bad energy. As you inhale, breath in life and cleansing oxygen. Do this for a few minutes each day. Try the website below or a free podcasts and some pointers.

Meditation is an easy and simple way to balance a person's physical, emotional, and mental states. It is easily learned and has been used as an aid in treating stress, anxiety, pain management, and as part of an overall treatment for other conditions including hypertension and heart disease. Research shows that meditation decreases the heart rate, respiratory rate, oxygen consumption, and even decreases blood pressure.

Meditation is a method that originated from India. Simply putting in recent terms, meditation is nothing but self-realization.

Yoga, Kundalini are some of them. Don't confuse with stetching yoga Vs medidation yoga. Don;t believe anyone about getting supernatural powers. Kundalini is a form of yoga that could give you super natural powers. Unfortunately the truth of the matter is most ancient yogi's from India did not leave the full details of it. So anyone who says, they can rise the kundalini, is a fake.

Meditation is not something you do. However, you can become meditation. You need to be initiated into meditation by a guru who gives you a personalized 'mantra'.

I was initiated by Sadhguru two years ago. He is the real deal.

Type "sadhguru jaggi vasudev" from Yahoo Video search bar. There is great video on 'what is meditation?'.

There are many forms of meditation. Generally it is an attempt to quiet ones mined, relax and feel at peace with ones inner self. It's
considered to be a great stress reliever. As far as super powers are concerned, THAT'S BUNK. It can help you become your best authentic self.

There are two types, psychic and intellectual. Meditation that the Bible speaks of is in the mind and is done on Scripture to obtain understanding. In the Bible the analogy to it is that of a cow chewing its cud. We are to bring scripture up into our minds and meditae or rehash it over again and again.
Psalm 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. 3 He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.

To meditate, sit down, close your eyes, and follow your breathing -- visualize it going in through your nose, up over the top of your brain, down your spine to your tailbone, then up through your stomach and into your lungs. Then, backwards to exhale.

Whenever your mind wanders, bring it back to noticing your breath.

Meditation practice teaches you mindfulness. And that's where your life starts to improve (although super powers are a little out of reach, but frankly I hope someone can zip around like Spiderman).
