Only you can decide what the purpose of your life is. And that may change....once, several times in your lifetime, or several times every day.

Sorry I can't be more specific, but it really is all up to you. What I believe is this: we ALWAYS have choices.

"Asking God" might work for some people, but it didn't work for me. I never heard an answer.

A lot of us Indians from the USA do a ceremony called a vision quest it involves a period of fasting and going without water usually four days and nights. During this time we pray and ask for direction and what is expected of us the answers are not always apparent at first but if we look within we'll find them

To all those who said "ask God"- that is good, but it won't help non-Christians. True for us, probably not them.

To all those who said "only you know"- that is so-so. Honestly, asking yourself usually means asking your peers- peer pressure. That usually leads to drugs, smoking, alcohol etc.

To all those who said nothing, I have nothing for you.

The purpose of EVERYONE's life is to serve, worship, and love God. That is your purpose, that is my purpose, that is George's purpose, that is Stacy's purpose, that is your atheist friend's purpose. Whether or not they do it is a different story, but that's the purpose of everyone's life.

Anything else is bad and wrong; what else can I say!

G.B.

God bless all atheists, Muslims, Jews, Christians, and everyone else here on R&S.

Ask a Bona fide person who has experienced Nirvana (enlightenment). Search for Ekhart Tolle or Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev. They are both enlightened and can show you a path toward your answer. Such people are reffered to as Gurus.

Sadhguru is my Guru. He initiated me into meditation 2 years ago. This is my path towards the answer to your question.

I SPENT YEARS "LOOKING FOR MY PURPOSE".
I FOUND THE PURPOSE AND MINISTRY OF MY LIFE IS TO TAKE CARE OF THE BUSINESS GOD PUTS BEFORE ME EACH AND EVERY MINUTE OF THE DAY.

SOMETIMES I AM THE TEACHER SOMETIMES I AM THE STUDENT. SOMETIMES I AM A DOER AND OTHER TIMES I AM AT REST.ECCLESIASTES SAYS THAT EVERYTHING HAS A SEASON AND GOD ACCORDING TO ALL SCRIPTURES IS THE ONLY AUTHORITY AND POWER.
SO PERSONALLY, I BELIEVE I MUST GIVE TO GOD THE AUTHORITY TO MAKE MY PURPOSE THE THINGS HE PUTS BEFORE ME EACH MINUTE OF THE DAY.

I believe the simple answer is to grow spiritually by learning to love yourself, God, and every other human being on earth. God is love and therefore love is the most powerful thing that exists. If we can master love we can become very powerful people. Anything can be possible to us if we can love God, his son Jesus, and love others unconditionally.

You can pray for Gods guidance in your life. The purpose of life is for God to test us to see if we will follow His commandments or not.For those that follow Him, there will be eternal glory, for those that choose not to follow Him, no eternal glory.
