My sister is totally different than I am, a girly girl, and I feel that she is getting more and more distant from me because she feels I am too different than her to understand. Has anyone felt like their sis or bro is changing in a bad way, and they just wont listen to you. Since they think you aren't like them. How can I get her to start to listen to me, and get her to understand I was there once.

I think that instead of trying to get your sister to "listen to you", that you should make an effort to try to "listen to her". The important thing here is the relationship. It makes people feel good when they have someone who will love them for "who they are"(your sister), and not for "what they are" or "what they believe". The reason she is feeling distant is because she is not feeling accepted by you for who she wants to be, a girly girl. If people cant get accepted by there close relatives, it hurts and causes resentment. Let her know that the important thing is that you value her as a sister and want her friendship, no matter how much the difference there is between the 2 of you. God doesn't require you to be like him before he accepts you, so you shouldn't require your sister to be a certain way before you accept her. You cant go wrong by loving her. If she is on the wrong path, she will have to see it for her self. There is one thing I have learned. If people want your opinion, they will ask for it. If they don't, then all the good advise in the world wont do any good. Make her feel loved and accepted. You cant go wrong. Hope this helps.

Same thing with my younger sister. She's only 19 and moved out with her boyfriend. The best way to reunite is hanging out just the 2 sisters. manicures and pedicures r always good. go shopping together. go 2 the gym 2gether. rent a movie each of ur own liking and watch both 2gether. if either likes 2 drink, try that too. it's fun even if ur different from eachother. infact it's more fun. U can talk about any concerning issues while u do all of this.
oooo, u know wut'd b cool... get like a "sister" picture frame/shirt, bracelett, etc.
Good luck:)

Changing into a girly girl isn't a bad thing. Just try to pick a night you both watch a movie or play games.
Talk about things that interest you both, or ask her to help you with a subject she is good at and you aren't.

as the youngest of 4 sisters and 3 brothers there will be a time when the 2 of you will grow apart but that will only be for a time.... the best gift you can have as a sister is to become friends as adults...

my sister disliked me when i was younger because i wasn't a girl girl and i had short hair and was friends with all boys. i always thought she was cool and looked up to her. we were not very close until she went to college and i got into high school, i realize appearance does matter and even though I'm still not an extreme girl girl she and i are friends. sometimes i give in and go shopping with her or let her do my makeup before i go out just to let her know i Look up to her and want to spend time with her even if i embarrass her.

In her eyes you know nothing. Till you both get out of the house chances are your relationship will not get much better. That is the way it was with me and my brothers.
