The Bible says "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may be recompensed for his deeds done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad" (II Corinthians 5:10)
again "For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of God....so then, each one of us shall give an account of himself to God." (Romans 14:10,12)

Paul explains this principle in I Cornthians 3:10-15, which you do well to read.
The gist of what he is saying is, that a person gets to heaven through faith in Christ. Salvation is the gift of God (See Ephesians 2:8-10). However once the gift is received, God expects a proper response. He expects us to stop living the way we have and to start living according to the truth of the Gospel and eternal principles. Paul speaks of works of "wood, hay, straw", combustible things which will not endure the fire of judgment. These are temporal things we spend our time with, that have to do only with earthly existence and are of no eternal value. On the other side are works of "gold, silver and precious stones". These are works of eternal value - sharing the Gospel with someone so they might be saved, denying ourselves some comfort so we can help the poor and needy, supporting missions, praying for people of God, showing kindness to enemies, whatever we do out of faith and love, for the sake of the kingdom of God - these are the works which have eternal merit and for which we will receive a reward in heaven. (See also Matthew 25:31-46)

You will receive every reward, every joy, every peace. Heaven is the climax of our existence, our final destination, our home. What waits for us there is beyond imagination, and sometimes, I can't wait until I get to go.

God bless, and take care.

The best award is that , whatever you want will appear in front of you in heavens. and that's the best reward I think. al though there are severals like, rivers of wine, honey, milk, etc. and various kinds of food and fruit that we never saw. Fairies, and ahh a good one. everyone will be 14 years old in heaven.

(Revelation 20:4-6) And I saw thrones, and there were those who sat down on them, and power of judging was given them. Yes, I saw the souls of those executed with the ax for the witness they bore to Jesus and for speaking about God, and those who had worshiped neither the wild beast nor its image and who had not received the mark upon their forehead and upon their hand. And they came to life and ruled as kings with the Christ for a thousand years. 5 (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. 6 Happy and holy is anyone having part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no authority, but they will be priests of God and of the Christ, and will rule as kings with him for the thousand years.
