I think it would be interesting to write about that since not many countries do that, as for as I'm concerned. I think your instructor would give you a pretty decent grade if you talked about that. However do you have evidence to back this up that it actually does occur? I think you also need someone who's experienced such a thing.

I dont know how old you are, but if it makes for a better essay and is relevant then yes it should be included as it is a ritual, or other event
And to the guy above... Catholic - Orthodox DO NOT condemn circumcision so long as it within the means of hygenic/medical reasons, unlike the jewish where it is a ritual..
