I'm doing an essay on the Philippines and some people I interviewed talked about circumcision...should I include this in my essay? Or is it sorta strange to write about?

I think it would be interesting to write about that since not many countries do that, as for as I'm concerned. I think your instructor would give you a pretty decent grade if you talked about that. However do you have evidence to back this up that it actually does occur? I think you also need someone who's experienced such a thing.

I dont know how old you are, but if it makes for a better essay and is relevant then yes it should be included as it is a ritual, or other event

And to the guy above... Catholic - Orthodox DO NOT condemn circumcision so long as it within the means of hygenic/medical reasons, unlike the jewish where it is a ritual..

Circumcision ought to easily be achieved for scientific reasons (e.g a good foreskin) or if the new child comes from a Jewish or Muslim kin. performing it robotically inflicts unneccessary discomfort on the new child and might deliver approximately an infection

Honey, if adults are going to be reading it, then they can handle it. If it's part of the culture and within the scope of your essay, include it.

Certainly include it if it is an important part of the interview and paper.
