Girl, if you want to lose weight, just eat healthier, diets are short-term. You need a lifestyle change. Atkins is an unhealthy diet, because it cuts out essential food groups that help you to fight against diabetes. It can raise your glucose level and be dangerous. Cut out the fat, too much fried food, junk food, hydrogenated foods and get moving. You can do it. I did! Think positive and hang around those people who will encourage you!!!

Slim fast diet is a marketing ploy for their product. It is not a good thing- you don't get enough calories and all the weight will came back when you stop. If you must choose between the 2- go Atkins.

I think that you should try the Atkins diet I have heard that it is better then the Slim Fast diet.

Atkins has come under heavy fire recently. It's no longer the fad diet. Slim fast might be better, but L.A. Weight Loss would be best. Just don't buy the bars they want you to buy, as they give you constipation. Just follow their diet plan without buying the products.

Atkins, everything slim fast Ive ever tried tastes absolutely awful. We have an Atkins cook book and everything looks good. Atkins offers more.

I don't mean to stay away from your question, but South Beach diet!
I personally know 3 people who have done it with EXCELLENT results. They lost weight within 2 weeks. Serious. And they ate well and continue to do so, with making some adjustments to what they enjoy. I think they cut out most refined sugar, and pastas and such. Check it out, google South Beach for the website.

It's wonderful, and I'm switching over to it myself.
Otherwise, I enjoyed Slim Fast. Atkins is weird and not good for the body I think.

I would say Atkins. Slimfast was the worst, but then it's been a while since I did it.

I do low carb my way and have lost 10lbs in the past week. It's not unhealthy if you do it right. Last night for supper I had pumpkin soup, mashed cauliflower with sour cream, green beans and grilled pork kabobs with sugar free jello for desert. Does that sound unhealthy?

Read the books, join a message board for support and the weight will fall off.

Not Atkins. It is bad for your health. Fad diets are never a good thing to consider. We all know the basics: eat healthy, exercise, etc. It works and it stays off longer.

1200-1500 calories a day plus 30 minutes of aroebic exercise.
Increased output. Decreased input. That is the diet that will work every time and doesn't have a fancy label. Should yield at least 10 # a month.
