my itunes wasn't burning cd's, so I updated it and got the newest version, and got a better quality CD, so it should start buring again right??

but did you get a better quality CD-R or CD-RW?
CD players and DVD players won't burn CDs, just play them.

There should be no reason that itunes updated should not burn cds. I say give it a try. If that doesn't work, then make sure cd burner is working right.
