It's not easy, quick, simple, or cheap (at least to start). It's also not legal in most of the world with the exception of Italy, Greece, New Zealand, and a couple other countries I can never remember.

Assuming you are in New Zealand, the best source of information on making your own is http://homedistiller.org

Not in the USA. Officially, the reason is that there are ways to make dangerous moonshine. Lead solder in the tubes, disgusting stuff getting into the mix, cheap and fast processes leading to wood alcohol in the final product, explosive chemicals near open flames. Ask the shiners and the reason is that Uncle Sam doesn't get any taxes off of home hooch and when Uncle Sam doesn't get paid for you doing something he makes it illegal.

What your great Uncle Floyd did not leave you his famous recipe? Search on White Lightning, Corn Whiskey, Moonshine, Mountain Dew. Be very suspicious of anyone looking like a Treasury Agent.

Why don't you just come on over to Greeneville, TN and pick some up. It's cheap as hell and comes in all different varieties around here.
