That sounds normal to me. Everyone's probably shy at first. Or no one acts the same all the time. Sounds like he feels more comfortable with you and likes you.

If you guys are sleeping together, you really should be talking together. Ask him why, and tell him how much it meant to you that he cared.

I think he'll be very flattered that you noticed.

Maybe he was too nervous the first time and just wanted to get through it. Maybe he was really focused (that tends to quiet people).

he was nervous I'm sure. Now he is comfortable since he has had sex with you before and is now comfortable with making nose and talking.
