"when they mean a lot to each other and just met"???? sounds like they just met and wish for something...
most one night stands are... 1 night. some last the entire weekend, or a few days.
a famous quote says "love is the interval of time between which a man meets a beautiful woman and wakes and realizing she looks like a haddock" (a fish).
be honest and don't let infatuation/lust replace love and eternity.

okay they wait till the second night, the first day they meet, (if it was on the cruise they meet)they hang out and have a great time and they spend the first night wondering what the other is doing, and then the second day y'all have a more romantic time to the point where you don't want to leave his arms.

I would do it the first day, more motion in the ocean, you never know you might like it more then you think and want to do it more then just once
