PLEASE, PLEASE help im sooo confused about everything!?

ok this is kinda long but i need to explain it in detail to get a good answer. ok here it goes...i was talking to my ex on sunday and i figured out that when he broke up w/ me he was lying about the reason. he said that since he was grounded for not doing well in school it was not fair to me. (he goes to a different school) well i have always loved him but the actuall reason was that while he was going out w/ me he told his friend that he liked this other girl. so his friend asked her out for him and she said yes. then he said that he decided to try goin out w/ her but he didnt want to make me upset so he lied. after two hrs of talking after that he asked me out again. i said yes but i asked him a bunch of questions first. and i got the feeling that i could trust him. one of my bestfriends (dustin) says that i shouldnt have said yes and that i shouldnt trust him cuz hes just gonna ditch me again. well this part is more confusing...i then found out that

Of course he's gonna do it again! Only now he knows to come up with a better excuse. You obviously underestimate just how far young bucks will go if they think they have a chance at some @$$. Hell, when I was a young buck, I would have run over my mother if she got between me and me getting some.
