Both the Old and New Testaments are significant to the Christian. God gave the Old Testament... or covenant to the pre Christian people. Then he gave them the fulfillment of that covenant in Jesus Christ and that new covenant is the New Testament. So both are important. You cannot truly understand the New without the foundation of the Old. The New covenant was promised in the Old right in the beginning when God told Satan that the seed of a woman would crush his head. Jesus was that seed. Because He came, we now have the ability to come to God, in prayer, with no more blood sacrifices as in the old Testament. Jesus sacrifice made it possible. The New covenant changed everything.

The Old Testament was not nil and void since the New Testament was written. From Genesis to Revelation is His Story. In Genesis it shows that God created the heavens and the earth- he created Adam and Eve to have a personal relationship with Him, and because they chose to sin, that relationship was broken- that continues to this day. The OT- Isaiah for instance points to Jesus, tells us that He was rejected by man and led to slaughter. That time came and then the NT was written. Jesus did not come to abolish the law but fulfill it, We could never follow the 10 commandments, because we as humans are born in sin. No I am not blaming Adam and Eve, I am blaming myself. Because of my rebellion, God had to do something drastic to bring us back into fellowship with Him, So He sent His perfect Son Jesus as a sacrifice for my sin and yours. Christ is the fulfillment of the truth that we can have a personal relationship with the Holy God. Without His death and resurrection we could not. The OT is not old- it points to Jesus.

Genesis & The Old testament is considered still really important. For example:
If you picked up a chapter book and you took out the chapters in the begginning of the book and tryed to read it... you wouln't know what was going on because you didn't know what was in the beginning of the book.

I believe in the HOLE bible as the inspired word of God! Genesis is just as impotent as Revelation. The old testament was never voided!

The Old Testament was not voided! Jesus says so himself. Jesus fulfills much of OT prophecy. Genesis is, of course, still believed, it is God's word.

The Old Testsment has never been voided and we believe in ALL the Bible. But what we do to be forgiven of sins changed when Jesus died on the cross...finally a plan of salvation whereas each one of us can approach God for the forgiveness of our sins rather than having to offer sacrifices and to go through a High Priest. Now, Jesus is Our High Priest. PEACE!!!

We are all descendants of Adam and Eve. This truth and many others in Genesis are not voided by any means. The new covenant(through Jesus) fullfilled the law,but did not destroy any truth.

First, the OT wasn't voided. It was fulfilled. Second, believers interpret Genesis in different ways: literally or symbolically. Stories of faith, whether OT or NT have value because they communicate to us the struggle(s) of humanity.

sure and if a regulation or custom ameliorations is does no longer advise that what we do not think or believe some thing. If we had a regulation about no longer spitting on the area walk one hundred years in the past and now we now no longer have that regulation does no longer advise the historic previous of the U. S. is someway questionable. also the moral regulation has no longer replaced. in consumer-friendly words the regulations that were ceremonial in that they were used till Christ might want to come and fulfill them. Now they are not necessary because He has carried out away with the choose. also some regulations basically meant for the country of Israel are literally no longer binding on us. yet moral regulations like do no longer scouse borrow, do no longer kill etc. have not replaced.
