The concern for toxicity usually comes with ingestion of the plant, dried leaves, flowers, butts. Neurological signs are often present with toxcity.
However, the smell and smoke is likely extremely unpleasant due the fact that cats have such a strong sense of smell. Even if you are not exhaling directly in her face, she probably doesn't like it.
It would be best to smoke it in another room, or at a window.
And be sure to discard your left overs properly so that your kitty does not have a chance of getting into it.

Because animals are smaller than people, THC is rather more robust to them, and its results arise at much smaller doses. Countless sources show that consuming marijuana can be fairly unsafe to animals, and ingested marijuana is normally suggested to impact people extra strongly as well. However, studies have shown that puppies will also be uncovered to big amounts of THC without fatality. The bottom line seems to be: don't ever feed it to them - a small number of deaths have been reported from ingestion - but if your pet appears to benefit from the expertise, then blowing smoke at them is rather safe if the animal is healthy and moderately-sized. In significant quantities it could still be dangerous, although, and the ill results of inhaling smoke commonly are additionally nonetheless a component in animals. Additionally, as many individuals have recounted, it are not able to be defined to a cat that a substance will get them high or exchange their consciousness, so the ethics of that concern is your possess choice - and the entire extra reason to only expose them to small quantities of marijuana.

No, it won't really hurt her unless you two live in a tiny shoebox. The dangers of second-hand cigarette smoke are grossly exaggerated, so if you have adequate ventilation, the pot smoke will only affect you. (Personal experience: I had asthma and smoking pot never aggravated it. It went away after I moved to Colorado, without having to give up the ganjaweed.)
If you aren't blowing it in her face, which is unlikely since you're taking the time to ask, your cat will be just fine.

It's not going to kill her right away, but any kind of second hand smoke isn't good, especially around something as small as a cat.

No smoke is good for cats or any little mammals. think about their size and how bad second-hand smoke is for grown adults. I am not against smoking pot- but you are choosing to do this. your cat is not.

Yes, it's not good for animals because it's the very same as second hand smoking to humans. If you need to light up, please be sure to do it away from your kitty.
BTW, I hope you are ok, because I had a friend who's doctor prescribe marijuana for his cancer.

definately NO!
cats are more sensitive than humans and their brains are much more easily affected. smoking marijuana in fron of the cat can cause permanent damage to the cat's brain. you will probably end up with a slow and retarded cat that will not respond to anything.
