I used to buy the store brand, which would be about $3.75 lb, then when my family made the switch to organic dairy, I started buying organic butter which is about $8.99 lb. Today at the store they did not have any organic, so I bought Lactancia (sp?) for $5.75 lb. What are the differences in these butters, and what is your own prefrence? Thanks, Lynn.

I don't like salted butter. Unsalted has more of a buttery taste.

the fat content. the higher the fat content the higher the price. the united states makes butter with a lower fat content while most european butters taste better because they have a higher fat content.
