If you and your wife have never had sex with anyone else and keep it that way you should be fine but there are other ways to contract the HIV/Aids virus. If you come in contact with the blood of an infected person and you have a break in your skin or it enters your mouth, nose or eyes you may want to get checked. HIV/Aids virus has also been contracted through a blood transfusion. Hope that helps!!

Xpertgmr's answer is correct. For some of the time I was in the mental health field, I was educated in substance abuse/neglect, and HIV issues, and so I learned that individuals can get infected by contaminnated needles, and there were very specific ways to sterilize needles that were shared between addicts in order to lessen the chance of catching HIV or other diseases, BUT, as then Surgeon General Koop said, "It's the easiest disease NOT to catch. Just don't do what it takes to catch it." It was the greatest wisdom of all on the disease, and so many people just overlook it. God help them. God Bless you.

It depends, if you or your partner has been infected before ya'll met. Because the virus can live in your body for an extended period of time before being found. If you're concerned you shouldn't think twice about it, you should get tested right away.

You can get HIV or Aids from people who have it and if you or your partner don't then nothing to worry about, unless one or the either is sleeping with the wrong person who has it.. Peace be with you.
