Well, im 17 and i've been going out with my girlfriend for about 5 months now, and we're both absolutely nuts about eachother. Only problem is we dont have our liscences yet so we depend on parents to drive us so we can see eachother (we live about 45minutes away). Our parents say that theyre getting sick of the driving and it'll have to be cut back a bit, but im determined to stay together. The fact that i may only get to see her once every two weeks worries me, though it has been working so far. Does anyone have any advice or past experiences on the matter?

If you live in a bigger city you can always take public transit. Not having a license is no big deal. I'm 27 and am yet to get mine. Don't feel pressure to get it just because you want to see your girlfriend more, chances are you wouldn't get the car anyways. Driving is a big responsibility and if you don't feel confident enough don't do it. There are many other ways to get around the problem. You can use web cams to chat every night. That way you get to see her. Buy her a stuff animal that she sleep with every night. Ask your parents and her parents if weekend visits are allowed, maybe she could spend the whole weekend. Ask your parents what they think and if they have any solutions. Have one of your friends date one of her friends and go out of double dates.

Assuming that there's a valid reason for you both not having your licenses, perhaps you can take turns taking the bus to see each other or meet halfway and spend the day together on the weekends.

17 without a liscence? that sucks, but i dont think you guys should break up. but i think that you guys should at least talk more to makeup for it somewhat, and when you do get to see her, you should make it special, something so that she will remember each time. it shouldn't be a normal date, you should make things interesting, suprise her with things she likes.

your too young oto have a GF much less any type of relationship
criminy you don't even have your license, what up with that?
focus on your future and forgot about girls for now, there will be plenty of that later when you are a career sucess and not some sort of low ambition failure

Can't you message each other on your computers? Got a cellphone?

Take the bus or the train to see each other, once a week.

Get your license.

well you can't do anything until you have your licences, so obey your parents, because they're in control of the situation. Act responsibly and considerately and maybe you can work out a compromise.
