My friend is getting ready to get a tattoo and would like to cover up a scar with it. However, he's afraid that it will hurt more with the needle over the scar. What do you think? Is scar tissue a bad place for a tattoo? Will it really hurt him more?
Thanks in advance for all your answers!!

I personally think that tattoos are bad for you any way, but to answer your question, it will hurt less because there is not enough nerve supply in scar tissue. nevertheless tattos are health hazard. hope my advise works.

P.S. tattoos will not make you look cool they will make you look low class.

Sometimes you can't tattoo scarred skin tissue. It will depend on the condition of the scar. As far a the pain goes I wouldn't think it would be an greater, unless it is a sensitive scar to start with. Had a friend who was planning the same thing and they couldn't tattoo over her scar because of the condition of the scar tissue.
