Over 3000 I believe....Incidently the general population of the US here at home is dying at a faster rate than soldiers in Iraq. In other words we have more deaths per 1000 Americans at home (about 8, I believe) than per 1000 soldiers in Iraq (about 6).
This is the safest war in US history. If you research past wars, you'll find that past war had much much higher death tolls. So the real question is, what are we fighting for? Why is it worth it?

Over 3000 and that was last week. Today it was 7. A 23 year old private was driving his hummer. He heard a grenade on the roof which then fell inside the hummer, he was alone on top but there were 4 other men below him in the other compartment. Not having any time to do much; instead of bailing out to save his own rear. He sat his butt on the grenade which took the impact and saved the other men. That is true heroism.

Yes, it's been US military policy for almost 200 years to always accurately report US casualties. Right now the number stands at about 2500 dead, and 10,000 or so wounded. Compared to other campaigns/battles this is actually not excessive-given the 3+ years in country.
Naturally, that does nothing for the grieving families.

I don't know the exact number, but it's not as many as was killed in the U.S. last year, by drive by shootings, drug over doses, drunk drivers, abortion clinics, suicides, cancer, accidents, Oh i'm sorry we can't blame Bush for those, never mind, but according to Worldnetdaily, 21.900 americans have been murdered by illegal aliens since 9-11, maybe we should put the war on terror to rest and pull the troops back to guard the border

a little over 3000...lets keep in mind it was over 58,000 in viet nam, and 1/2 million in WW2
30,000 people are killed in automoble accidents every year...
the iraqi number of dead is 10 times as much as the USA...
war is hell, no doubt....and freedom isnt free....bless these boys each and everyone of them...many have paid the ultimate price so we live free, and
it is a nobel, worthy cause to bring freedom to the rest of the world...
everyone from all corners of the world come to the USA to taste freedom, some legal, many illegal......and most dont want to return to where they came from....their is a good reason....its freedom....
so next time you see a soldier....from any branch of the service....tell him " thanks "...he'll know what you mean...
God bless....the free

No we did not fail. it would desire to have been do a sprint better with the aid of us Armchair Generals, however the evening Saddam replaced into hanged the venture replaced into performed. Had we pushed to Baghdad in 1991 (i replaced into there) and hanged the "Evil Dictator" then, we does not have had this long drawn out war. We had the help of the Kurds and others back then. This time we in simple terms had to make the war profiteers richer. Withdrawal isn't a word for failure, retreat or defeat. this is a word for venture performed and now we back up regroup and honor those heroes who positioned all of it on the line. They responded a call to accountability and now the bugle is silent simply by fact they at the instant are not mandatory. The impact of IRAN over the IRAQI human beings is yet to be seen. i replaced into there from 06 to 08, and the IRAQI human beings march to the beat of a distinctive drummer and say they'd do it on their very own. we want our troops out of there and enable them to do it. If IRAN impacts them, this is their undertaking to handle. we would desire to be inquisitive approximately our very own soil and getting this international locations, infrastructure, government, and border risk-free practices under administration. Birds of a feather flock at the same time so you might chat so in the event that they elect to kill off one yet another it's going to be their organization not ours. If we would desire to stand off with IRAN then we want this withdrawal to regroup and set our priorities. we are nevertheless human beings and there are various human beings that isn't permit this united states of america bypass under. If we occupy IRAQ like we did JAPAN and GERMANY, then in below 2 many years we are able to be using Abdul Mohammads (or regardless of they could call their automobiles) on our streets. thank you for the cleansing soap field time.
