I want to know if you have any titles...i've heard about Paganini's 24 Caprices, but i can't seem to find out about it (or be able to listen to it) online. Could any one of you violinist/violaist give me a suggestion for an advanced solo?

Bach's solo Partitas and Sonatas
Mozart's Violin concertos
Show pieces, like Zigunerweisen or Zapateado, by Sarasate
Bruch Violin concerto
Telemann's 12 Fantasias
The Hot Canary by Paul Nero
Franck's Violin Sonata
Tzigane by Ravel

These are just some ideas. It really depends how advanced you are. The Paganini Caprices are pretty tricky.

You can watch Jascha Heifetz play a some Paganini Caprices on YouTube. My favorite is #24.

Good luck! =)

Depends how advanced.

I think the Beethoven Romances a must-do for any violinst.
Bach partitas and Sonatas are good.
The Monti-csards by Verdi is a good party piece.
Brahms violin Sonatas, A minor particularly good one.
Mozart violin Concerto (G major i think) is amazing.

VERY advanced would be the famous Mendlesohnn Violin concerto in E minor...good for a laugh!

Hope that's enough!

i've got been in orchestras ever in view that i replaced into youthful so i understand somewhat approximately this. that's purely friendly battering, purely making exciting of the different units. Violas make jokes to us violins yet for some reason the cellists on no account get picked on.
