The two richest people in the world Bill Gates and Warren Buffet are athesist. Also, they donated more money and helped and are helping change the world for the better then most countries could. Are they not going to heven because they dont believe in a higher power? Even though they done more to help people, espically poor people, then more than 30 million christians combined. How do you explain that? Is it possible that you can be very successful, have anything you could possibly want, help more people in history than anybody and not belive in a higher power, instead believe in yourself? Oh wait apparently it does.

To all you people that are saying they arent giving ALL of thier money away 100 billion combined, that they accumulated before they die and are literally wiping away hunger and other problems around the world are not great people because they dont belive in YOUR god, is absurd. When you, theritically, get to the gates and god says what did you do youll say i uh worked and believed in you. These 2 athesist will say i saved millions of dying people and made the world better. You be the judge..

Well...IF you had been reading the bible, you would not have to ask this.
Seeeeee...theres that lil story in that book where the rich guys put like some gold pieces into the offering box and then along came like a poor old widow and put like a dime in it...
and so JC asked:
Which of these has put in the most????

And the answer of course was: The WIDOW
Because she had give ALL the money she had...whereas the rich guys only had given of what they could spare.

You think Billy boy would give ALL the money he has?
So there you go.....

*****
As I can tell from your adding:
You dont really know about God, religion and what it is all about.
Rich people only get rich if God allows it.
And those those who have a lot will be held responsible for a lot.

So if that rich guy only gave of what he could spare and saved millions - hes off to hell, while a murderer who gave all his belongings and turned to christ - goes to heaven.

Besides that:
Christians usually (at least) give the 10th of their income as a sacrifice, I bet you anything you want that Billy boy didnt give that much.

No it is no coincidence.
It would be surprising if it is otherwise. I know the richest man Indonesia went up a mountain in East Jave to ask for riches, and the devil there granted his wish with a price. A member of his family had to be sacrificed. Another rich man did the same thing and became very rich, but his daughter became the tumbal, or sacrifice.

Jesus says you can not serve God and Mammon at the same time. So if you expect the richest man should be a Christian, that is an impossibility. What you pointed out is in fact a proof about the truthfulness of the saying of Jesus.

Real Christians who want to be the richest in the world doest not believe what Jesus says: "Blessed are the poor for their is the kingdom of heaven." He did not say "Blessed are the richest!"
In fact He says that it would be easier for a camel to enter the hole of a needel than a rich man to become a real Christian and enter heaven.
A real Christian will not be tempted to serve Mammon and be given the privilege of owning the most money for only 90 years or 100 years at the most. They are going to inherit far more riches than Bill Gates and will enjoy it for eternity. Of course no atheist will understand the meaning of eternity.

So your boasting means nothing at all. It just proves the opposite.

I once met a man on the street and when talking to him we addressed the subject of what will happen after we die. We asked, "Let's say you have a million dollars, and then you die. What do you have?"
His answer: "A million dollars."

Hopefully you can see the illogic behind his answer.

I think it's wonderful that Bill Gates and Warren Buffett are giving so much money to help people. But it doesn't change the fact that people need to follow the commandments of Jesus Christ. I hope that good people like them will embrace the truth when they hear it.

(I assume that you are trying to show us that religion is not important because there are some rich non-religious people. This has a couple of problems: it uses assets as a definition of success and it uses the examples of a few people to try to make a statement about the world in general. On the list of world's richest people, many of the other people on that list are Muslim. So atheism doesn't seem to be the "key" that makes people rich. And I judge success by happiness, not wealth. God certainly can give someone wealth if He wants to, but money doesn't make someone happy.)

Bible quote "It's easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of Heaven".

Is this because the ultra wealthy view themselves as superior to all others, and have no humility? Perhaps they have done things morally wrong to obtain/sustain their wealth? Do believe they are above the law and money will buy them out of any adverse situation?

I don't know........I'm not ultra wealthy and just like everyone else on this Earth, I'm sure there are some rich people with a good soul and some with an express ticket to Hell.

No matter how much $$$$$ you have.......Death is the great equalizer.

Bill Gates has helped move more jobs over seas than you can imagine. I saw him interviewed once and was asked about moving jobs overseas and so many americans were put out of work because of his greed, he said "oh well, that's business."
AND we aren't let into heaven by our good deeds, what is good compared to a sinless God. It's sin that keep one out of heaven, sin without a sacrifice/Jesus.

If they and Gates and Buffet give 1/2 of the millions of dollars they give is that a sacrifice to them? or a tax write off?

I think it is quite the coincidence. Bill Gates dropped out of college and got lucky with his life in many ways. Of course, you can be non-religious and still be a good person, there is no doubt about that. The only problem is dividing the religious and non religious into a good and bad group.

There is also a direct and quantifiable correlation between intelligence, education and the lack of tolerance for childish mythology.
Meaning (for you christians out there) that the smarter you are and the more you spend in school (real school, sunday school doesn't count) the less you believe in religion and fairy tales about god...

As a Deist, I don't think God really cares what your beliefs are, as long as you are a good person. To judge people on such intangibles with little if any proof of what to believe would be unjust.

No...I don't think it's any coincidence...The more educated and the more successful you are, the less you need the religious "crutch". Besides I think the more education a person has gives them the ability to reason better, to come to more rational decisions about life and the way it works. Of course there are always the exceptions.

No they will not go to heaven. If their actions are not done for the glory of God they don't count. You have to be forgiven for sins before you leave this earth and in order to be forgiven you have to believe. You can die an atheist and then ask for forgiveness on judgment day. You cannot buy your way into heaven.
