Yes I agree - Scotland as it is beautiful, the highlands are exceptionally beautiful and the cuisine and hotels are second to none. As long as you know it is going to be very cold brrrrr - lol and take suitable clothing you will be fine. If you don't fancy the highlands - Perth or Edinburgh are brilliant too. Congratulations on your forthcoming wedding hope you both will be very happy!

In March you could go onto the lovely island of Anglesey off the North Wales coast. It has great coastal walks and spectacular scenery - Snowdon Mountains to the East, Irish Sea to the West.
You can see dolphins and porpoises off the coast, walk along soft sandy beaches, even take a day trip or longer (overnight) to Dublin on the fast (99 minutes) ferry from Holyhead.
A great World Heritage site at Beaumaris Castle, a Sea Sanctuary, good hotels and guest houses for your stay and see locations where Demi Moore filmed Half Light.
Get here by train or car and from February air flights from Cardiff will start. later to extend to Dublin and Manchester. Good roads from Chester or Shrewsbury if coming from Midlands/London.

Scotland is fantastic. We stayed in a log cabin on the shore of Loch Lomond for a week and toured about the highlands for the next week. The scenery was just beautiful.
