Of course. The only way to not believe that to be true is to believe that all religions are false. If at least one - Christianity, I believe - is true, then it describes a real transcendent God who will not leave us alone. He loves us too much for that.

In fact, the question is worded wrongly, or in a way that plays into the atheist's system. The correct way, from a Christian point of view, to write it would be: "If the act of religion was removed from society would God make Himself known again?" To which the answer can be nothing but "Yes, and thanks be to Him!"

Islam was given to mankind by God... not the other way around. If Islam left this world, then it is prophesied that the world will end within 40 years. It will also mark the begining of the Day of Judgment. Anyways, to answer your question, I believe true religion is revealed by God. Man-made religions come and go, but the ones from God stick around. And if God wants to augment a religion, thats up to God to do so.

It's called Science.

Contrary to what many so-called believers will tell you, it has nothing to do with trying to destroy God and many scientists enjoy the field because it is the study of all God's work and the attempt to understand his ways and methods. An attempt to see the Universe the way God would.

Impossible, perhaps, but a worthy goal, none the less.

Look to Genesis chapter 11. The people were building a tower to reach the heaven. This was a form of man's religion to God without it being recognized.

We are all in religion. Atheism is also a sort of religion which is a sort of code of conduct and 'ism'. There is no particular 'act of religion' as such. Believing God is not a pre-requisite of all religions. To be 'religious', you have to believe in yourself, in the infinite nature of your true self, and to try to merge into the absolute of which our universe is one of the reflections. Therefore 'act of religion' & 'acknowledging God' should not be confused.

Like you last question, i would answer yes. Persons will worship what ever person or thing. If they don't make up a new religion they will adjust one from a traditional religion to suit to their groups acceptance and satisfaction.
