- 1 cup of softened butter (or margarine)
- 1 tsp. of vanilla
- 1 tsp. of baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. of salt
Preparation:
Preheat oven at 350°F.
In a large bowl, mix the butter (or margarine), egg and vanilla. Incorporate while stirring the flour, salt and baking soda. Mix in the chocolate chips and the optional nuts (see our chunky walnut version for another "nutty" option). With a spoon, make multiple one inch rounded dough and place these approximately two inches apart on an oven sheet (can be un-greased).
Place and bake into oven for about 8 to 10 minutes or until they turn to a light browned color. The center of the dough should remain soft however. Let these little tasty treasures cool down a bit and remove from the oven sheet.
Does approximately 36 that your family and frioends will surely appreciate. Pour yourself a glass of milk or make some coffee and enjoy!

OK... all purpose flour *IS* wheat flour. So is pastry flour. Or bread flour. Or cake flour.
Are you wanting a recipe using WHOLE wheat flour? If so, you may want to try asking for that.

you may't make bread that way simply by fact it does not upward thrust. The yeast can not digest the entire wheat o.k.. so which you're limited to recipes that use baking powder or baking soda to upward thrust. be happy to replace for white flour in those.
