Cats are weird. I have heard of cats being obsessed with q-tips. You should keep the trash below the sink or use a grocery bag as a liner for the trashcan and then use a bag clip to keep it closed so she can't get into the trash. I don't think that eating the q-tips will hurt her too much but it's always better to be safe than sorry.

In general, bathroom trash should be kept out of any pet's reach for their health as well as your dignity. Cats and dogs have been known to fish all sorts of private things out of wastebaskets and proudly bring them out to show guests at inopportune moments.

I think you should keep the wastebin out of range. Kittens like to investigate at such a young age, but eating junk food is unhealthy. Cats also suffer heart disease and diabetes. Chocolate can kill your pet. Distract her with a toy and don't motivate with food. Or this may become a habit

Ok, it's a little weird, for sure! Maybe she sees them as something to play with, and then gets chewing on them.

I doubt that they'd hurt her, or that she'd eat enough to hurt her, but to play it safe, maybe you should put the waste basket under the sink for awhile!

Cats are strange!
