what are some good aviation headsets. not expensive though. i want a cheap one. i was thinking about getting a avvcom are they good. let me know which ones are good ones.

If you are looking for PNR headsets (passive, not active), David Clark H10-13.4 is good . Most sets have a Certified Noise Reduction Rating (NRR or Noise Reduction Rating of 23dB or so). AvComm is good too. You can get a great headset for under $200. The AC200 PNR Headset for example, is very reliable and durable. The nice thing about AvComm is that they give you a 5 year warranty.

I use David Clark but I like Bose better, it's more elegant and more 21st century design. DC has a very good quality but the design is not really new. it looks antique

I agree with Samisam. I use a David Clarke but the BOSE are more stylish.

When I worked for the FAA, some of our pilots used Telex. In fact I bought one set for my ham radio ops.
